What is digitizing?

Digitizing is the programming of a logo so that the embroidery machine knows how to stitch it. It includes information such as when to colour change and trim. If you have a logo but do not have it in an embroidery format, Stitch Wizard can provide you with the required format.

How much does embroidery cost?

The price of any embroidery is based on machine time, quantity, number of colours and what type of fabric the logo will be applied to. Some fabrics require different backing or special treatments for best results. If you submit your artwork to us through our website, we can provide you with a personalized quote.

What is a stock design?

Stock designs are designs that are already made up. For example, if a team wants a baseball design but doesn't have artwork, we show them stock designs and they can select one they like. Because stock designs are already created in an embroidery format, they are less expensive. We are also able to add lettering to any stock design.

Are there any limitations to what you can embroider?

There are a several considerations.
1) Type of material
2) Density of logo
3) Access to area you want embroidered
For fabrics that are not suitable for embroidery we offer screen printing or heat pressing. These are also durable options that will offer a high quality print without damaging the fabric.

Can you embroider hats?

There are 2 options when it comes to hats:
1) Stock headwear can accommodate a 2.2” high by 4.5” wide design on the front. We are also able to embroider on the sides and back of these hats.
2) Custom ordered hats offer many more options because they are embroidered first and then assembled, which means fewer restrictions. Decorating can be done on just about any area of the hat including the brim.

What if I am not sure what I want?

Our knowledgeable staff can help you determine what will work for you, taking into consideration your budget, your target market and usage.

Do I have to use your stock designs or can you customize whatever I want?

We are able to make any design you want, (digitize), you just have to provide artwork. Preferred formats for artwork are .PDF, .EPS or .AI

If you have artwork that is clear but not one of the above formats, we can convert to these formats for a small fee.

For those of you that just want lettering, we will require the name of the font and we will do our best to match it.

We will not reproduce logos that are trademarked.

What is the turnaround time?

We always send you a proof for approval before starting your order to ensure you will be happy with the finished product.
From the date of approval, you can expect 5-10 business days to completion but this will be confirmed at time of order due to seasonal surges.
